AUDITORS, TECHNICAL REVIEWERS, AND CONSULTANTS

CSQ Auditors and Technical Reviewers are essential to CSQ audit process and ensuring that the cannabis supply chain is safe. All CSQ Auditors and Technical Reviewers must be registered with CSQ and be either employed or contracted with a CSQ licensed Certification Body (CB) to conduct or review CSQ audits. Independent Auditors and Technical Reviewers cannot issue a CSQ certificate under any circumstances.

CSQ AUDITOR OR TECHNICAL REVIEWER

To become a registered CSQ Auditor or Technical Reviewer, both must demonstrate, through qualifications and work experience, that they meet the following CSQ Auditor and Technical Reviewer requirements.

  • University degree in bioscience discipline (e.g. microbiology, agriculture, epidemiology, toxicology, food science, organic chemistry, etc.)
  • CSQ Lead Auditor Training and exam
  • HACCP course recognized by the International HACCP Alliance
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience in quality assurance in either the cannabis, food & beverage, dietary supplements, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Minimum 20 audits in either the cannabis, food & beverage, dietary supplements, or pharmaceutical industries
 

Registered CSQ Auditors must additionally apply for each specific standard that they wish to audit against and have the applicable experience for.

Although CSQ does not require the use of registered CSQ Consultant to become certified, registered CSQ Consultants can act as a link between the CSQ Requirements and the location becoming certified. By using a registered CSQ consultant you will have the assurance that your consultant is qualified and has the competence to provide CSQ advice.
